Sector's Edge is developed and owned by Vercidium, which is a registered Australian Business. This privacy policy will explain how our Company uses the data we collect from you when you play the game.
When starting the game, you are prompted to join our mailing list by entering your email address. This is an optional step.
We collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address and "fingerprint" data used to uniquely identify you, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our anti-cheat system. This is statistical data about our users patterns and does not identify any individual.
In accordance with the End-User License Agreement of Sector's Edge, we may collect and analyse modules and/or code loaded into the Software for anti-cheat and security analysis.
Your data is sent to our servers via the Sector's Edge executable.
We collect your email so that we can email you when we launch on Steam and reach other important milestones.
Your Steam ID and fingerprint data are used to uniquely identify you.
Modules that are loaded into the executable are collected and analysed for the purpose of improving our anti-cheat and security systems.
We securely store your data in a private backend server(s).

Please note that 'personal data' does not include data analysed by our anti-cheat and security systems, such as IP address, fingerprint data, modules and/or code. This data is used to determine correlations between new and existing players and to determine if one player is using means to obtain an unfair advantage over other players or using means that impact the gameplay experience of other players.
